In a momentous event heralding a new academic year, the Students’ Council of SCS First Grade College was inaugurated on the 11th of September 2023. The grand ceremony unfolded at the Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College Auditorium and was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Mrs. Vinaya D’Souza, Principal of SCS Pre-School, along with the esteemed presence of Dr. K. Balakrishna Bharadwaj, Principal of SCS First Grade College, Dr. D. Shripathy Rao, Principal of SCS PU College, Mr. U.K Khalid, Administrative Officer of SCS Group of Institutions, Assistant AO Mr. Nithyananda, faculty members, and the vibrant student community.

The program commenced with a melodious prayer song performed by Sushma of II B.Com, setting a harmonious tone for the event. Mr. Nithesh Shetty, HOD of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, delivered a warm welcome address, extending greetings to the dignitaries and congratulating the newly elected Student Council members. He urged them to serve their fellow students and contribute positively to the college community.

The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the official inauguration, followed by the oath-taking ceremony administered by Mr. Madhava K, Student Welfare Officer of SCS FGC. The newly elected Student Council members pledged their commitment to uphold the values and responsibilities entrusted to them.

Chief Guest Mrs. Vinaya D’Souza addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of student leadership and the pivotal role the Student Council plays in fostering engagement and participation in college activities. She encouraged students to actively address their concerns and work collaboratively to create a positive and inclusive college environment.

Principal Dr. K. Balakrishna Bharadwaj provided guidelines to the students and congratulated the newly appointed Council members. Dr. D. Shripathy Rao, Principal of SCS PU College, extended his encouragement and well wishes.

The Presidential address was delivered by Mr. U. K Khalid, the Administrative Officer, who inspired students and offered guidance on being exemplary students.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. John Melroy from the Department of Interior Design and Decor. Mrs. Prarthana J expertly presided as the Master of Ceremony, ensuring the smooth flow of the event.
