SCS First Grade College celebrated the vibrant festival of Onam alongside the grand inauguration of the Fine Arts Association on Friday, 13th September 2024. The event took place at the scenic SCS Riverside Campus, highlighting both the cultural richness of Onam and the creative aspirations of the college’s Fine Arts community.
The program was inaugurated by Smt. Vani U. S., Head of the Kannada Department at Canara College, Mangalore, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. The event was presided over by Dr. Kabbinale Balakrishna Bharadwaj, Principal of SCS First Grade College, adding a sense of academic prestige to the celebrations.
The coordinators of the Fine Arts Association, Mrs. Suchitra Shetty, Mrs. Deekshitha, and Mrs. Meghashree, played pivotal roles in organizing the event. Ms. Nairuthya, Student Coordinator, contributed to the success of the program with her active involvement.
The event featured Pookalam, the traditional floral decoration, which added a colorful and festive atmosphere to the campus, showcasing the artistic talents of students and staff alike. The inauguration marked the beginning of an exciting year for the Fine Arts Association, with a series of events planned to nurture and celebrate creativity within the college.
